I met Tina and Josh through my wife, who in turn met the couple through her brother whom studied business marketing together at NMMU. When I asked my wife how long Tina and Josh had been together, she simply answered “forever”. It could almost count as a lifetime, considering the two of them have lived in two different countries together and have since made a new life in the UK. Their wedding day was beautiful and Tina looked amazing. She really did spend lots of time focusing on the small details which I hope I captured to the tee. I must say, that apart from this being one of the most memorable weddings to date, the speeches must have been the best that I have ever heard, and I think my say counts as I’ve been to a lot more weddings that your average joe. Tina and Josh, thanks for allowing me to capture your beautiful day, I hope you love the photo’s! |

I only got to meet Aloysius and Zenodeen on their wedding day. When I met Zeno I could see she was extremely nervous, however, ready as can be. I’ve never been to the bride getting ready where masks, french manicure “tips” (as my wife would say) and false eye lashes were all being put on a mere two hours before the wedding. Needless to say, this bride arrived only 30 minutes late.
Aloysius on the other hand, is a very cool, calm and collective guy, pretty much like me I would say…. He was dressed in time, ready and waiting at the church for his beautiful bride to arrive.
I remember listening to the speeches on the night of the wedding, when they mentioned the amount of years (over 7 years) the couple have been together, and all I could think was it was about time these two tied the knot.
Aloysius and Zeno, congratulations on a beautiful wedding and being such a fun loving couple. I know you’ll have many more happily married years together!
To my wife, Megan from Confetti Events, well done on an amazingly planned wedding! |

If ever I’ve met a couple happily in love, then this would be Pricilla & Xoli. After their engagement shoot I knew that I was going to capture true love on their wedding day. Not only their immense love for each other, but the love they have for God truly shines from their relationship.
They were extremely blessed with a beautiful sunny day, and we managed to sneak into the harbour (legally might I add) where we got some beautiful photographs in front of the yacht club as well as the warehouses.
The Radisson Blu was beautifully made up in their vibrant wedding colours of cherry red and teal and the evening went off fantastic.
Pricilla & Xoli, thank you for allowing me to capture what was a truly memorable wedding for me, I know you’ll have many more happily married years together. |

Xoli is the reason why Pricilla always smiles, and Pricilla is the reason why Xoli always smile. When they talk about each other their eyes lit up and you can see there is never a dull moment when they are together.
We were supposed to have a fun beach engagement shoot, and after postponing the shoot to the weekend after the original date the weather still did not play along. We ended up in Goven Mbeki and even though we did not get to do the beach shoot, the photo’s we got were amazing.
I cannot wait to photograph this couple on 8 October 2011 when they tie the knot at the Havelock Square Holy Trinity Church followed by their reception at the beautiful Radisson Blu |

Often I only get to meet the groom on his wedding day, and this was no different, however, I also only got to meet Monique on her wedding day.
What a lovely couple indeed. Colin has this incredible sense of humour, and Monique has this soft personality but the two of them are a match made in heaven.
During our photoshoot I could see that Colin loved having a good time, he was making jokes and I ended up getting such incredibly natural shots of the two of them.
Thanks to the both of you for an amazing breakfast wedding I got to be a part of, I hope the photo’s exceed your expectations. |

When I take photographs, I often like to try new things, and when I suggested an Urban type shoot for Jaimie’s matric farewell pictures they were happy to try something new and different.
So off we went to “downtown” Port Elizabeth. The location was amazing, the lighting awesome and I truly feel that I managed to capture some truly unique photographs.
I had a lot of fun photographing both Jaimie and her partner, who turned out to be quite a model might I add! |

I always love going back to Port Alfred and taking wedding photo’s there. Something about that place always draws me back for more. When an old school friend of mine Shane (also known as Pekka) asked me to take their wedding photo’s, I was honoured and accepted in a heartbeat.
Shane and Angie has known each other since school days, but their love only started blooming when they both left school and started their jobs. They dated for quite some time before they finally took the big step and got married.
Their wedding day was beautiful and the bride looked absolutely radiant.
Congrats Pekka and Angie, I wish you a lifetime of happiness.

With about 30 of their closest friends and family watching on, Marcus and Lemay tied the knot at the beautiful venue Sneezewoods in Addo. It was an extremely hot day, but despite that all the guests arrived to watch the couple say their “I do’s”.
I had an amazingly fun photoshoot with Marcus and Lemay joined by the bridesmaids and groomsmen as well as their little son. They were keen for a lot of fun photo’s and were very comfortable during the shoot which always makes my job easier.
Thanks guys for letting me photograph what turned out to be an extremely fun wedding! |

Often when I look at couples I can immediately gage who the funny or more humorous of the two are. But with Storme and Lyle this really proved me wrong, as they both were extremely fun to photoshoot.
Their wedding was very relaxed and laid back, and they made my job of photographing so much easier than what I was expecting. Not only was the couple fun, but I found their bridesmaids and groomsmen utterly hilarious and there were a couple of times during the shoot where I had to stop photographing as they had me in hysterical fits of laughter.
Thanks so much guys for letting me share your wedding day with you, and for allowing me to photograph this special occassion. |

Another wedding that took me back to Port Alfred was that of Lindy and Mark, who tied the knot on 17 April 2010. There’s this beautiful little bush restaurant just before the Riet River turn off on the R72 that you take to find this quint little place called Tunzi Bush Lodge.
Standing on a wooden deck under the tall trees between dense bush Lindy and Turkey vowed to share the rest of their lives together, in what was a memorable, intimate ceremony.
After, the guests were treated to amazing food and they all partied the night away.
Thanks Lindy and Mark for asking me to do your wedding photographs. |
